A wooden planter filled with a variety of colourful flowers and plants sits on a gravel surface next to a red brick wall.

New research from Forest Garden – the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of wooden garden products – shows Brits are harvesting a desire to grow their own.

Using data from Pinterest, Forest found searches for planter inspiration soaring. Over the last month, the term ‘planter ideas’ was up 90%, while ‘garden planters’ is up 60% and ‘raised planters’ 70%.

Jenny Davis, Forest Garden’s Head of Marketing, said: “Whether you want a garden awash with colourful blooms or want to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle by growing your own vegetables and herbs, Forest Garden’s range of planters have something for every function, and just as important, every space.

“Not all homes have the space for sprawling raised beds, so we have ensured our range of planters caters for all.

“There are so many amazing benefits to sowing your own flowers and vegetables, from improving wellbeing to increasing mobility, and we want to ensure they are accessible to all.”

Forest Garden’s range of planters includes everything from raised bed and trellis, to wall planters and troughs. And all have been designed with both form and function in mind.

Jenny added: “Our range includes linear planters, which are ideal for creating a contemporary look, corner planters which ensure homeowners can maximise every inch of outdoor space, and raised troughs which are incredibly accessible.

“What’s more, our collection of trellis and wall planters are ideal for those who want to embrace the current trend for vertical gardening, which makes the most of height for those with limited outdoor space or want to create their own living plant wall.”
