The top ten ugliest celebrity homes have been revealed, according to new research. The team at AB Drylining have studied thousands of YouTube comments containing keywords or emojis synonymous with beauty and disgust. They then calculated the ratio of negative vs positive comments about the celebrity’s home, as well as the percentage of dislikes.

The researchers then ranked each celebrity’s home based on an index score out of 10. The celebrity with the highest score was bestowed with the title of possessing the worst interior aesthetic according to public opinion.

Top 10 Most Hated Celebrity Homes

Surprisingly, Kourtney Kardashian, the renowned lifestyle guru and owner of Poosh, has claimed the dubious honour of having the ugliest celebrity home, according to a recent index score ranking. With a staggering 7.35 out of 10, Kourtney leaves other celebrities in the dust, including professional skateboarder Nyjah Huston, who secures the second spot at 3.68.

Jacqueline Hamilton, an experienced interior designer and owner of Seaford Interiors, sheds light on why Kourtney Kardashian’s style choices may not be resonating with the masses. “This is a beautiful living room but it’s just off balance,” she says. “The luscious green plant on its own puts the whole room off-centre. Another plant on the other side of the window would have given the room more balance. The overall look is cold, a black ceramic pot on a dark coffee table, with no earthy textures or tones can create a harsh look and it’s not cosy, warm or inviting.”

The findings suggest that even the most influential figures are not immune to design criticism. What’s more, Kourtney’s husband, Travis Barker  (2.72), and ‘momager’, Kris Jenner (2.13), take the third and fourth spot.

“The artwork and texture on the walls, as with all the surfaces, are cold and very minimal,” Hamilton says about Barker’s home. “A rug under the dining table and near the sofa space would definitely make this a much cosier space, somewhere that your guests enjoy coming to and don’t want to leave,” she adds.

She has similar critiques for Jenner’s home, stating “No artwork or textures on the walls, no rugs or lamps. It makes it all very stark and not in a good way.”

Rounding off the top 5 is style influencer Emma Chamberlain (2.12). Other celebrities that made the top 10 include Kim Kardashian, Tommy Hilfiger, Ricky Martin, Lily Allen and Zedd.
